ORTADA in a minute.

01Problem
“Let's meet halfway” usually means halfway on a map. But rivers, bridges and road networks bend distance, and halfway in kilometres is rarely halfway in minutes — someone always travels far longer than the other.
02Idea
Measure fairness in minutes, not kilometres. Find the area where everyone's real travel time is closest, then suggest places to meet right there.
03What we built
A three-step flow — who is coming, what for, and where — over a live map. Addresses resolve as you type, travel times and routes come from open routing data for car, walking or cycling, and venues come from an OpenStreetMap snapshot. Every suggestion shows each person's minutes and the gap between them.
04Key features
Fair in minutes
The meeting area is chosen by each person's travel time, not by straight-line distance.
The fairness gap
Every suggested place shows both travel times and the difference between them, so “fair” is visible.
Car, walk or bike
Each person picks how they're getting there; the middle moves with it.
Up to four people
Add friends and the meeting point is recalculated for everyone.
Open data, honest limits
Built on open map, routing and place data — and upfront that public transport and live traffic aren't included yet.
